Las Islas Filipinas is looking for photographers who could capture the intricate and individual stories that make up the Philippines from a fresh perspective. We look for context, meaning, and purpose. Authenticity and originality. Rawness and boldness.
PLEASE BE REMINDED OF THE FOLLOWING BEFORE SUBMITTING YOUR WORK:
Photographers could be of any nationality.
For Filipinos and part Filipinos, your stories do not necessarily need to be made inside the Philippines nor should they be about the country. You, being of Filipino descent, are enough to embody the archipelag
For foreigners, your body of work should be strictly related to the Philippines or its people.
Your body of work must tell a story. Thus, the series of photographs must be coherent and connected to one another.
Send a minimum of 5 photographs or a maximum of 10. This could be negotiated if it is integral to convey the message of your project. Pictures should be 1500 pixels on its longest side at 72 DPI.
Includea write-up that thoroughly discusses the theme and context of your project.This can be of any length but be sure to convey the message of your work clearly. You may reach us if you need help writing your synopsis.
Don't forget to give us a short biography of you along with links to your website/s or social media accounts (optional).
We only feature original work by the photographer Your photographs could be unpublished or previously published in print or online (make sure to seek permission from your former publishers).
